“When other mothers or friends would ask if I was breastfeeding I would get so nervous to answer.  I usually would say, my son was born early, therefore was never able to latch so I pumped for a month, but now he is formula fed.  I hoped to gain sympathy with the long answer rather than just saying, no he’s a happy, healthy formula fed baby. The bottom line is that no mother should feel ashamed about not breastfeeding their baby.”
