“I nursed all five of my children for quite awhile; to ages 4, 3, 2, 4 and 5 respectively. I miss the closeness. I miss the ease of sitting and really connecting. Now that they are older, they need me less and in different ways. But, it is rewarding to watch them grow into themselves and become more and more independent, and yes, to need me less and less. Still, my body remains a soft safe place of warmth when they are in need of a big hug.”
