“There is quote on my daughters’ bedroom wall that speaks to my own youth and my hope for them. “Be your own kind of beautiful.” I struggled with body image issues and focused on my so-called imperfections through most of my adolescence. I decided to change my focus and embrace my body for all my uniqueness and strength God gave me. Today I am facing my fear of rejection and being not good enough as much for my daughters’ sake as my own. So they will know that they are exactly good enough. So they can be their own kind of beautiful too.”
