“Lincoln takes ballet and tap. A friend at school told him that dance was just for girls. I reached out to facebook and was flooded with pictures of boys and men doing ballet, tap, hip hop, you name it. I was thrilled we were so flooded with support. Lincoln still wears his amber teething necklace. A friend at school told him that only girls wear necklaces. We told him that was clearly not true because Beckett wears one. And we ordered one for Dave. Now I’m the only one not regularly wearing a necklace! We, as a society, must stop gender stereotyping! Colors are for everyone! There are no “girly” cloth diapers or “boy-colored” Legos. Let all the kids color trucks and butterflies!”
