“My dad divorced my birth mother when I was very young.  I was told that she didn’t want us.  I never saw her again and don’t know that it is true because I never heard it from her. I believe she has died, so I will never know.  My dad remarried and our mom that loved and raised us for several years died from cancer very young.  It was really hard on all of us, especially my dad.  He told me never get married or have kids.  I was scared that if I became a mom that I would not want my kids, but the moment I gave birth, we looked at each other and I knew there was nothing I wanted more (other than my hubby, of course!).  She latched immediately, decided for us how I would be feeding her, and I breastfed both babies​ for almost two years each.”
